**Director Rituparno**

The story of a bright star in the world of Bengali film: -

He was an Indian Bengali film director.  He was an economics student. He started his career as an artist in a science institute.  He was a fan of Satyajit Ray. In his two decades of career, he won twelve national awards as well as several international awards. He died of a heart attack on 30 May 2013 in Kolkata. This man was born on 31st August 1963 in Calcutta.  Both his parents were associated with the film world. His father Sunil Ghosh was a documentary maker and illustrator.  The man was a student at South Point High School.  He later obtained a degree in economics from Jadavpur University.  In the last years of his life, he experimented with transformational life.  He openly acknowledged his homosexuality.  Which very few people can do with it. Yes;This man was Rituparno Ghosh, a unique director in the Bengali film world.Before coming to the film world, Rituparno Ghosh was an "advertisement copywriter" in Kolkata. Hindi advertisements were translated into Bengali by him.  Rituparno created the style of Bengali's unique advertising slogan. According to some critics, he had a special ability to convey appeal to the audience. His pictures reached the peak of popularity especially in the middle class Bengali society.

 Film direction :- (1992-2003)

His career started in the advertising world.  The first film he directed, "Diamond Ring", was released in 1992.  It was a children's film. The film was based on a novel by Shirshendu Mukherjee. It starred Basant Chowdhury, Moonmoon Sen and others. His second film was released on April 19, 1994.  Gets "Combustion" in 1997.  In 1997, the film won the National Award for Best Screenplay.The two actresses in the film, Rituparna Sengupta and Indrani Haldar, won the National Award for Best Actress together.  The film depicts an actress and her father reluctantly relying on her mother. It won a national award in the Best Bengali Film category.  "Bariwali" was released in 2000. Kiran Kher won the National Award for Best Actress for this film.  Released in 2000, "Utsav" received award for Best Director.  The content of this photo is about the break up of a close-knit family.  Rituparna made a mystery thriller film "Shubh Mahrat" based on Agatha Christie's "The Mirror Cracked from Side to Side" in 2003.  In the same year, Rituparna made "Chokher Bali" based on Rabindranath Tagore's novel.  In this film, he worked with the first Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai. Rituparno's first Hindi film "Raincoat" was released in 2004.  Soha Ali Khan and Rupa Ganguly played the roles of Jackie  Zamindar and his two wives in this film.

 


Acting Life: -

Rituparno Ghosh first acted in Oriya film "Kotha Dehithilli Ma-te". Directed by Himasu Parijya, the film was released in 2003. Rituparno's last released film is "Chitrangada".  Special Jury Award at the 70th National Film Awards.  Rituparno also hosts two celebrity chat shows.  These are ETV Bangla's "And Rituparno" and the other Star Jalsa is "Ghosh & Company".  He also edited the Bengali magazine "Anandalok" (from 1996 to 2004).

Death:-

Rituparno Ghosh was suffering from diabetes for ten years and pancreatitis for five years.  He also had insomnia. He used to take sleeping pills for this occasion. He died on 30th May 2013 at the age of 49 in Kolkata of a heart attack.
