Rasgolla | Bengal's Famous Sweet | Naveen Chandra Das

Today we will know the history of Rasgolla in the world:  * Rasgolla in the hands of a newcomer * [Rasgolla] will be sweet: -"... Naveen Moira, wants such sweetness ". 

in 1868 The famous sponge 'Rasgolla' sweet was discovered by Naveen Chandra Das, grandson of Bhola Moira, a famous craftsman of Calcutta, in 18th century. (Sutanati, Gobindrapur, founded the city of Calcutta with the village of Calcutta).

of North Calcutta opened a beautiful confectionery shop, and Nabin Chandra was born in North Calcutta in the year of 1845.

Naveen Chandra Das Naveen Chandra's father died 3 months after his birth. This time Naveen's mother decided to leave Naveen to learn the art of making sweets in the shop of one of her close relatives Kali Moira.

From the very beginning, Naveen had a keen interest in making new dishes and sweets. Before the discovery of sponge rasgolla, Naveen Chandra Das made sweets like Doda Sandesh, Ata Sandesh, Castor Bhog Prakriti.

This time we will learn about the history of Rasgolla of Navin Moira. The story of the discovery of Rasgolla is about 150 years old today.  The joint venture of Tar Saina, Chatkare Hate Tajni and the old woman lightly squeezed the juice and lifted her face to the sky, tongue and mouth.  That is why I have brought for you today the story of the discovery of the world intoxicating Rasgolla Baula.

* History of Rasgolla in short *: 

Rasgolla is a type of white-coloured baby misti. It is made with sugar or molasses. Rasgolla is a popular sweet for everyone.  The West Bengal government establishes the origin of Rasgolla in Baila.

It is also known locally as Rasgolla or Baula "Ras-Golla". This Rasgolla is pronounced in different places in different dialects.  , Roshogala, Rajgolar, Rasgolar, Ebarashbari or Rashbari (Nepali) etc. 

■ * GI-Tag: - In 2015, West Bengal applied for a geographical guideline status for "Boiler Rasgolla".  The colourful texture, taste, juice, ingredients and method of production were both optional.

☝Lastly, I would like to say one thing: Misti (Sweet) is an integral part of Bengali life. Any Bengali event remains incomplete without Misti ( Sweet "Rasgolla").  This was the history of Rasgolla in the hands of Naveen .........
